Paolo Frizzi is the Founder and CEO of Libraesva, and has been working in the IT security industry for over 20 years. After studying mechanical engineering in Milan, Paolo discovered his passion and talent for computer science, and founded the company Libra to provide email and connectivity solutions in Italy. As the challenges of spam and email threats grew, Paolo recognized his customers needed better email security, and so he created the Libra email security virtual appliance -- writing the very first lines of code.
In 2013, Paolo spun out Libraesva to focus purely on email security, establishing his headquarters in the beautiful city of Lecco on the shores of lake Como. Under his leadership the business has rapidly grown to become an award-winning email security company trusted by leading brands around the world.
Paolo’s vision continues to guide product developments, with recent innovations including an Adaptive Trust Engine that uses AI and machine learning to understand usual patterns of email communication, swiftly spotting anomalies to provide powerful protection against business email compromise, impersonation & phishing; zero-day sandbox technology that uses deep inspection to find and block malicious attachment code; and active, multi-layered URL analysis to provide the highest level of protection from unsafe websites.
Determined & tenacious, Paolo believes great products require a deep understanding of customer needs, coupled with elegant product design and a relentless focus on making things simple.
